USFans Shipping Cost: How to Plan Your Parcel Budget
International shipping is calculated for a particular parcel and route. A product price alone cannot tell you the final cost.
Separate the costs
Make a budget for the product, any domestic delivery, international shipping, optional services and possible destination taxes or duties. Confirm the actual charges in the current order flow; an estimate from another buyer or an older article may not apply.
Understand chargeable weight
Actual weight is measured on a scale. Volumetric weight reflects parcel dimensions; a route may use a specified divisor, minimum charge and rounding rule. As a hypothetical illustration only, a 40 × 30 × 20 cm parcel divided by 6,000 gives 4 kg. The chosen route may use different rules.
Compare the full route
Compare destination coverage, restrictions, chargeable weight, estimated cost, tracking and delivery range for each available route. A cheaper quote is not necessarily better if it excludes an item in the parcel or does not meet your timing needs. Confirm batteries, liquids and other restricted items against the live route rules.
Recheck before payment
Packaging changes dimensions and weight. Once the final parcel is prepared, review its contents, address, route and actual quote. Customs and possible import charges depend on destination and current law; declare accurately and consult the relevant authority when unsure.
